COMPAIR is super excited to have joined forces with 10 other projects - most of them from the Green Deal Projects cluster - to deliver a joint session at this year's European Week of Regions and Cities.
The session is organised as a workshop with two main parts. The first one will feature a keynote presentation by Thomas Osdoba, Director at NetZeroCities EU, on why citizen science is crucial to achieving climate neutrality in cities. This will then be followed by a more in-depth panel discussion on citizen engagement and how citizen science and co-design processes can support cities in fighting climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.
The second part will be a World Cafe-style session during which participants will move around the hall to learn about different projects and their tools. COMPAIR will present its four apps:
Policy Monitoring Dashboard: Analyses the impact of policies on traffic and air quality
CO2 Calculator: Measures individual’s carbon footprint and simulates actions needed to achieve Green Deal targets
Dynamic Exposure Visualisation App: Uses AR to visualise air pollution in one’s immediate vicinity
Dynamic Exposure Visualisation Dashboard: Shows safe and dangerous (polluted) routes recorded with DEVA and/or mobile sensors
